<b><u>PART ONE (First Track):</u></b><br/><br/>

We spoke to singer/composer <b>Fini Bearman</b> about her life and music so far, from the beginning of her musical career at school studying under the seemingly ubiquitous Martin Read in her home-town of Alton. She then studied at the Guildhall before moving to Berlin and learning from Kurt Rosenwinkel who inspired her love of composing. Finally, we talk about her return to and reconnection with the London scene where she counts pianists Rick Simpson, Tom Hewson, and Liam Noble and players who can “play anything”.<br/><br/>

<b><u>PART TWO</u></b> (Second Track)<br/><br/>

The second part of our interview showcases singer <b>Becca Stevens</b>, a close friend of Bearman and we play an excerpt from her album <i>Weightless</i> called <i>I'll Notice</i> the second track on the album.<br/><br/>

We also feature a sneak preview of an album, currently in the recording process and a collaboration between Bearman and <b>Matt Calvert</b> and <b>John Blease</b> on a reworking of <i>Porgy and Bess</i>. We play the full track <i>I Loves you Porgy</i>.<br/><br/>

There is an album preview at Pizza Express Dean Street on 16th September featuring Calvert, <b>Ross Stanley</b> on keyboards, <b>John Cox</b> on bass, and <b>John Scott</b> or percussion. Bearman will be at the Forge on the 17th with Tom Hewson as part of Moss Freed's Collision project.<br/><br/>
